Where are you, Church?

Many institutions in our present day are speaking out against racism. But how has the Church responded?

Muted Voice is a challenge to the body of Christ to speak out against racism. While addressing the church’s lack of leadership, Muted Voice also talks about roadblocks to the conversation on racism and includes practical steps to help start the conversation.

It’s time for the Church to speak out against racism.

Following the murder of George Floyd on May 25, 2020, mass protests in the United States turned into a global movement for racial equality. Increased awareness of racial injustice has created a desire for reformation across large spectrums of society including government, education, the military, business arenas, sports, and entertainment.

This event sparked change for institutions across the country. Businesses are changing the names of racially offensive products, advertisements, etc. Yet the church has largely remained silent.

Muted Voice is a call-to-action for the church to speak out against racism. The book provides readers with the tools and steps they need to take a stand and end their silence.

Racism is often misunderstood…So it’s best to start out by understanding it’s offspring:

It’s time to start the conversation…

It’s likely that you care about fighting racism, but you just don’t know where to start. The first step is starting the conversation.

To help with this initiative, we’ve put together FREE guides for individuals and families to help start these conversations within your Bible studies, households, and workplaces. We encourage you to download these guides and take the first step in combating racism.

There is no excuse to stay muted.

Praise for Muted Voice

“I grew up in a racist, white, southern family. White privilege in America gave me the opportunity to be well-educated and to minister and teach globally in white, multi-cultural, Asian, Latin, and black churches. I have learned to recognize, repent of, and totally abhor the generational curse of racism. Dr. Moore has written for the Church not only a “must-read” but also a “must-do” book for every American church goer. I am convicted to do more to abolish racism in the Church... you will be too!”

— Dr. Larry Keefauver, Bestselling Author and International Teacher.

“Ever since my childhood, I have looked up to Mike Moore as a preacher but, more importantly, a man. In some of the roughest seasons of my life, he has been a reassuring spirit-led voice. I am forever captivated and amazed by his dedication and insight to the things of God, and more specifically, this beautiful text called the Bible. His latest work, Muted Voice, is poised to be a quintessential piece in the Body of Christ. This book will challenge readers to search the Scriptures and have difficult yet necessary conversations surrounding racial disparity and indifference. No matter where you find yourself, it will push you to adjust to unmute and realign with the true heritage of God’s people.”

— Pastor Mike McClure Jr., “PMJ”
